Your first campaign
A campaign brings together three things: an agent (with its prompt), a connected WhatsApp number, and a list of contacts to talk to.
1. Get leads into WhatSetter
Section titled “1. Get leads into WhatSetter”Every contact lives in a list. There are two ways to fill one.
From your sales pages (the main way)
Section titled “From your sales pages (the main way)”Most teams never import a file. When someone opts in on your landing or sales page, push them straight into a WhatSetter list from your form or funnel, using the REST API or a webhook from your page builder. The lead lands in a list and the campaign takes over from there. See Leads & lists for the exact call.
By importing a CSV (for contacts you already have)
Section titled “By importing a CSV (for contacts you already have)”Go to Lists and import a CSV (name, phone in international format, plus any custom columns you want to use in your messages). WhatSetter deduplicates automatically, so the same number is never contacted twice by mistake.
2. Activate the campaign
Section titled “2. Activate the campaign”Switch the campaign from Draft to Active. The engine starts:
- first messages go out progressively, with random delays between each send, like a human;
- replies land in Conversations and your agent answers on its own;
- interested contacts get qualified and, if you set it up, your agent offers meeting slots.
3. Track the results
Section titled “3. Track the results”The Analytics tab shows the full funnel: contacted → replies → qualified → meetings booked.
