Numbers the agent ignores
Some numbers should never get an answer from your agent: spam, cold pitches, countries you do not serve. You can tell the agent to ignore one number, or every number behind a dial code. The messages still reach your inbox, and you can still write by hand.
A number or a whole country
Section titled “A number or a whole country”| Rule | What it covers | Example |
|---|---|---|
| A number | One WhatsApp number | +33 6 12 34 56 78 |
| A country | Every number starting with that dial code | +91 for India |
Some dial codes are shared by several countries (+1 covers the United States, Canada and others). The dialog lists them: the agent will answer none of them.
Rules apply to the whole team, on every campaign.
What happens
Section titled “What happens”- The agent stops answering that number, and stops sending follow-ups to it.
- The messages keep landing in Conversations, so you see what is going on. The conversation shows the chip Ignored.
- You can still answer by hand from the dashboard.
Add a number from a conversation

- In the Numbers the agent ignores section, click Add.
- Choose A number or A country.
- Type the number with its dial code, or search the country.

Answer again

- From the settings: click Remove on the row.
A number covered by a dial code cannot be freed from the conversation. Remove the dial code from the settings instead.
